The new regulations are part of Sunport’s commitment to becoming a more sustainable airport and reducing its environmental impact.

The switch to hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles will reduce emissions by an estimated 2,000 metric tons per year – equivalent to taking 400 cars off the road.

The move to more environmentally friendly taxis is just one of many sustainability initiatives undertaken by Sunport in recent years.

The fare is based on the standard rate of $2.60 per mile. There is an additional $1 surcharge for each passenger after the first and a $15 charge for each stop.
